I really enjoyed this book. I grew up with the author and her family in that little town. I knew those streets and lived on them.I did not know this story until I read the book. I think it is well written and really paints a true picture of that little town in the 1920s. Tobacco was still king when I was a kid. A really interesting story of tobacco growing families and the people who bought the tobacco. And a terrible tragedy that happened.
