The Hungering Dark - Fantasy Book for Gamers & Readers

Sometimes a prayer is answered so simply... For me, an answer came in chapter 7 of Buechner's book "The Hungering Dark." Buechner's style is almost stream of consciousness with a very subtle yet wisely intended structure as he leads the reader from a search to a kind of "found" state of mind. I bought the book as a companion through Lent and it has been a great companion. In questioning God's presence and a confidence in a true afterlife with God and our beloved, this book has brought to mind and heart undeniable reassurance that God's promises will be fulfilled. I was hooked from the beginning, but I was deeply met in chapter 7. I was going to bring the specific quotation--but I can't. You must read from the beginning, follow the path, notice the wisdom along the way like so many exotic fauna and flora that will delight your soul, guide your mind, and companion your heart.Julia's QuestLight at Summer's End
