STEALING. CHEATING. KILLING. WHO SAYS ROMANCE IS DEAD?In 1993, action movie supremo Tony Scott teamed up with a hot new screenwriter named Quentin Tarantino to bring True Romance to the screen, one of the most beloved and widely-quoted films of the decade.Elvis-worshipping comic book store employee Clarence Worley (Christian Slater) is minding his own business at a Sonny Chiba triple bill when Alabama Whitman (Patricia Arquette) walks into his life – and from then on, the two are inseparable. Within 24 hours, they’re married and on the run after Clarence is forced to kill Alabama’s possessive, psychopathic pimp. Driving a Cadillac across the country from Detroit to Hollywood, the newlyweds plan to sell off a suitcase full of stolen drugs to fund a new life for themselves... but little do they suspect that the cops and the Mafia are closing in on them. Will they escape and make their dream of a happy ending come true?Breathtaking action set pieces and unforgettably snappy dialogue combine with a murderers’ row of sensational performances from a stunning ensemble cast in Scott and Tarantino’s blood-soaked, bullet-riddled valentine, finally restored in dazzling 4K with hours of brilliant bonus features.4K ULTRA HD BLU-RAY LIMITED EDITION CONTENTSNew 4K restorations of both the Theatrical Cut and the Director’s Cut from the original camera negatives by Arrow FilmsLimited Edition packaging with reversible sleeve featuring newly commissioned artwork by Sara Deck60-page perfect-bound collectors’ booklet featuring new writing on the film by Kim Morgan and Nicholas Clement, a 2008 Maxim oral history featuring interviews with cast and crew, and Edgar Wright’s 2012 eulogy for Tony ScottDouble-sided poster featuring original and newly commissioned artwork by Sara DeckSix double-sided, postcard-sized lobby card reproductions4K (2160p) UHD Blu-ray presentation in Dolby Vision (HDR10 compatible) of both cutsOriginal uncompressed stereo audio and DTS-HD MA 5.1 surround audioOptional English subtitles for the deaf and hard-of-hearingAudio commentary by director Tony ScottAudio commentary by writer Quentin TarantinoAudio commentary by stars Christian Slater & Patricia ArquetteAudio commentary by critic Tim LucasSelect scene commentaries by stars Dennis Hopper, Val Kilmer, Brad Pitt and Michael RapaportBrand new select scene commentaries by stars Bronson Pinchot and Saul RubinekNew interview with costume designer Susan BeckerNew interview with co-editor Michael TronickNew interview with co-composers Mark Mancina and John Van TongerenNew interview with Larry Taylor, author of Tony Scott: A Filmmaker on FireDeleted scenes with optional commentary by Tony ScottAlternate ending with optional commentaries by Tony Scott and Quentin TarantinoElectronic press kit featurettes, behind-the-scenes footage and interviews with Tony Scott, Christian Slater, Patricia Arquette, Dennis Hopper and Gary OldmanTrailers and TV spotsImage galleries

This isn't going to be a film review. You've either seen it and know how goddam good it is, OR you haven't and can read other reviews. And also... where the hell have you been hiding, and what took you so long to get here? (LOL!) This is a review of the Arrow 4K Limited Edition (it sucks that all reviews for this title are bunched together, and you're left to guess which version is being reviewed). I saw this film when it was released, and have only owned it on DVD. I figured it was time for an upgrade. I can honestly say that I don't think it even looked this good on the big screen. I'm very impressed. Mostly, though, I bought this for the bonus content. A lot of it was on the DVD release (and probably on any Blu-ray release), but this has bit more. Plus you get a book of essays, lobby card replicas, and a 2-sided poster (you can even switch the cover of the disc case). This is an impressive set, and quality is what you'd expect from Arrow (they are beginning to rival Criterion in quality). I was able to get this on a good sale - half price (30 bucks). Is it worth 60? Probably not, but that a choice you'll need to make.Okay... here's my film review I said I wasn't going to write: Stop reading this and buy the movie, ferchrissakes!! Great script, great director, stellar cast! What more do ya want? Oh, and stay through the credits. That Chris Isaak song, "Two Hearts," is wonderful!
